My Passions

A long-time dog lover and dog agility competitor and instructor, I currently have one fabulous border collie, Hauser.  I love sharing my expertise with my students and training my dog.

I am also an avid reader, love puzzles and games and am a self-taught knitter.

Work History Overview

I have a varied circle of expericence and am always looking to expand my knowledge.

2021 - Present Pawsible Marketing

Since 2021 I have been working as an independent contractor for Pawsible Marketing, a pet-product focused  firm.  I have expanded my knowledge in areas such as marketing, sales, business development, business intelligence, press and media relations and website building.

2020 - 2021 Polaris Staffing

For five months I worked for Oldcastle Infrastructure as a temporary employee of Polaris Staffing.   My duties included processing invoices through Microsoft Dynamics AX and box and matching POs to invoices.  During this time I took ownership of several districts and worked closely with the East Region Controller to ensure main supplier invoices were kept up to date.

1999 - 2020 UPS

During the majority of this time I worked within the small, tightly-knit group of payment processing where we paid thousands of payments each day by check, ACH, wire and FX wire.  I was a Team Lead for many years and took point on testing and procedure creation and acted as general backup for my co-workers.  In general, my duties changed every two to three years.

1996 - 1998 Norrell Staffing

As a Norrell employee working for UPS, I assisted in the 1996/97 payables consolidation before transitioning to the FSC where I was in the help desk for approximately a year.

1990 - 1995 B. Dalton Booksellers

During the five years I worked for B. Dalton Booksellers I went from a basic bookseller to Assistant Manager.  I was also in charge of the entire magazine section for several years.  My duties included everything from manning the till to taking inventory, restocking the  shelves, managing employees and scheduling to opening and closing the store with the necessary daily reconciliations.

Prior to 1990, I had a variety of temporary and short-term positions, primarily office work, including over six months in the reconciliation department at Wachovia Bank.  The varied jobs provided a lot of experience dealing with new people, environments and work situations.
